The Human Embryo and Research

image Here is a recent posting on research involving human embryos. A central idea is that the humanity of the pre-born is outside the realm of science and must be considered prior to the pragmatic approach that researchers are taking (e.g., if "sacrificing" an embryo helps treat disease then it is morally acceptable). Interestingly, the pre-born are protected by law (when they are wanted).
