Obesity and Your Health

Here is a fascinating article regarding the detrimental effect of fat cells in obese individuals. Research suggests that the over-sized cells "churn out of stew of hormones and other chemical messengers ... that assault many organs in ways that are bad for health."

Research into the biology of fat is turning up some surprising new insights about how obesity kills. The weight of the evidence: It's the toxic mischief of the flesh itself.
Thus, in addition to straining one's heart and joints, those extra-pounds may have more serious affects.
